Beahaunt Logo Animation
Beahaunt is a haunted attraction in Portland, OR run out of the client's home. He's got great visuals and animatronics at his attraction, but wanted to get a little more reach on social media and wanted some strong visuals. I connected with him to animate the logo that he had.

THE CHALLENGE
Animate the logo file provided by the client. I did not ask, but it appeared to be made using generative AI. Therefore, the image itself had to be rebuilt for animation.
THE SOLUTION
The biggest challenge right away was that there was no layered file for the logo. The client provided a static image, so the first thing I had to do was recreate the logo in Adobe Illustrator and build the layers so that I could easily move it into After Effects for animation. I layered the Illustrator file so I could animate everything seperately, such as the sails, flags, and netting. I thought it would be fitting to have a skeleton pirate who could hoist the flag on the ship. I brought the file into After Effects and got to animating everything. I added some glow effects, fog using displacement maps, and a map moving across the background per the client's request. To really make it a whole experience, I added some nautical sound effects.
